This Privacy Policy explains what information UmpGPT collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. UmpGPT is intended for use in the United States by adults only. By using UmpGPT, you agree to this Policy.
UmpGPT is offered and intended for use only within the United States. It is not directed to, or intended for, users in the European Union, the European Economic Area, or the United Kingdom, and we do not knowingly provide the service to users in those regions.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use UmpGPT. The service is intended for adults — coaches, umpires, parents, and league volunteers. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
UmpGPT answers questions about rules — it does not need anyone's personal details. Please do not include personal information about yourself or others in your questions, including names, ages, contact information, or any identifying details of minors. If you don't need to include it to get your answer, please leave it out.
We use the information we collect to:
When we use collected information to train or improve our AI systems, we first de-identify it — we remove or mask names, email addresses, and other personal identifiers so that personal information does not appear in, or get reproduced by, future answers.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own advertising or marketing. We use information internally to operate and improve UmpGPT, and we may share it with service providers who help us run the service under confidentiality obligations.
We use Google Analytics, a service provided by Google, to understand how people use UmpGPT. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to collect usage information — such as pages viewed, features used, general location, and device and browser type — which we use to analyze and improve the service. This information is processed by Google under Google's own privacy policy. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing Google's opt-out browser add-on (available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout) or by disabling cookies in your browser.
We retain the information we collect for internal purposes — including operating the service, analytics, quality evaluation, security, and record-keeping — for as long as we consider it useful for those purposes. De-identified information may be retained indefinitely. You can delete your account at any time (see below).
You can review and update your profile, and permanently delete your account and associated chat history, at any time from the Settings page. Deleting your account removes your identifiable account data; information that has already been de-identified or aggregated may be retained.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect the information we collect. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of UmpGPT after a change means you accept the updated Policy.
